Colby Cabins

About

Camp Colby Cabins is right on Lake Colby, with 4 separate cabins and a dock with watercraft. Decorated with Adirondack furnishings and art work, each cabin has its own stocked kitchen with cook/serve ware, indoor gas fireplace, ductless heat and A/C, smart TV’s and WiFi, outdoor fire pit with ADK chairs, charcoal grill and picnic table. Enjoy the lake with one of our boats in warmer months. Local hikes and ski slopes make Colby Cabins an ideal year-round get-away.

We rent all 4 cabins together during the summer, with check-in and check-out days only on Saturday. Outside of summer, one, two or three or four cabins may be rented at a time for a two-night minimum.

The property

Four charming ADK-style cabins give you the feeling of your own family summer camp, ideal for an extended family get-together. Each cabin is approximately 25 feet from the next, with trees separating them.

  • Moose: 2 Queen Bedrooms, 1 Queen sleeper (futon-style), 2 full bathrooms, 1 jacuzzi tub in bathroom
  • Loon: 1 Queen Bedroom, 1 Twin Daybed with Trundle, 1 full bathroom
  • Bear: 2 Queen Bedrooms, 1 Queen sleeper sofa, 1 full bathroom
  • Trout: 1 Queen Bedroom, 1 Queen sleeper sofa, 1 full bathroom, 1 full bathroom. Trout is located behind Moose and is the only one without a direct view of the lake, but has a lovely screened-in porch area.

All beds are queen size. The sleeper sofas, futon and daybed and trundle are usually used by kids.

All 4 cabins have kitchens, a gas fireplace, an outdoor firepit with Adirondack chairs, a charcoal grill and a picnic table. All cabins are fully stocked with silverware, dishes, pots, pans and coffee pots, microwave, stove and fridge. Clean linens, bath towels, and soap/shampoo/conditioner are provided. Beach towels are provided in the summer. Vermont Castings stoves, ductless A/C and heat keep the cabins comfortable year-round.

Enjoy our dock and private “beach” (a small section of sand on the shore) – we provide 2 rowboats, 3 adult and 1 child kayaks, 3 canoes, as well as life vests. Roast marshmallows while watching the sun set! Lake Colby is known for its excellent fishing of rainbow and brown trout (stocked annually by the DEC), salmon, and largemouth and smallmouth bass. Life vests are located in each cabin closet. Maximum 10 hp motors can be used on this lake. Boating is available with our boats on Lake Colby between May 1st and October 31st unless water temperatures are unsafe.

In addition to each cabin having its own charcoal grill, fire pit, picnic table and ADK chairs, we also have a smoker and larger charcoal grill on the property for guests’ use.
